German Translation for Daily Use

Though there are so many German Translation professionals around, you cannot carry some one with you on a trip! So before heading for a tour of places where you will find German-speaking people do your homework.

Make a list of commonly used phrases translated in German. You can write them down on a piece of paper and actually ask the other person to read what you wish to ask. This will lead to two things- you will not go wrong with the pronunciation and secondly, you will get a correct answer! Another idea is to draw pictures of railway stations or restaurants or phone booths for getting directions. This technique will work well too and you will avoid confusion.
