Buying A Desktop PC: New Or Refurbished?
If one can afford it, it is better to buy a new desktop PC. A new unit will come with up to date software and hardware, and will be less prone to break downs. Another advantage is that the warranty will save owners from having to buy parts or repair any defects themselves.
On the other hand, if budget is an issue, buying a refurbished unit from reputable individuals or companies is a good alternative. However, one should remember that there might be no warranty or the warranty terms may not be as good as that for new units. Buyers should also be careful in inspecting the unit and make sure that there is no physical damage and comes with any CD’s for the operating system or programs that should be installed.
