The rotary phase converter story is good news for homes

A rotary phase converter is a major part of the converter landscape, so to speak. When people look for phase converters, this is a serous option for many jobs. The rotary converter is made by putting an idling motor with a static converter. Easily said, of course, but originally difficult for phase generator and converter engineers to design and perfect. Designers put a three phase motor in place and wire to it a set of capacitors which have been linked to work as a single unit. The advantage of this type of converter is that you can lift bigger loads with them, and get around some of the inherent weaknesses of the static converter. The output of the rotary converter is particularly noticeable. They will run several motors at the same time even if each is of a different size. And with one of them hooked up to a large engine you can get as much as 90 percent of the power it was intended to produce.
