Tubal ligation is done in the hospital

Tubal ligation (or “tying the fallopian tubes”) is a surgical procedure to close the fallopian tubes — i.e. the tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus — so that she cannot become pregnancy (i.e. sterile).Ordinarily, the fallopian tubes move the egg from the ovary to the womb once in a month. If a male sperm fuses up with an ovum, pregnancy can result. If the fallopian tubes are closed, or “tied,” sperm can not fertilize an egg, tubal ligation reversal and conception will not happen.Tubal ligation is done in the hospital while on anesthesia. The doctor will make 1 or 2 small cuts in your belly area, usually near the bellybutton.
