Mortons Neuroma in the Foot
A condition which has an enlarged nerve is what we called the Neuroma. The most common neuroma when it comes to the foot is the morton’s neuroma. This condition happens due to pinching of the nerve between the metatarsal heads in the forefoot. This usually occurs between metatarsal heads 3 and 4, but can occur between any of them. The most common symptom of this foot is what we called is pain in the area of the forefoot that shoots into the toes and sometimes back up the foot. The wearing of tight footwear is the most common cause of this as this will obviously pinch the nerve. And obviously the treatment involves is the use of wider footwear and padding to separate the metatarsals.
