What is a panic attack?
Panic attacks are an episode of intense fear or apprehension. Most anxiety and panic are the result of a stressor of some kind. In children, dealing with teachers or school bullies can bring on an attack. As adults, we normally cope with other people better but often times the loss of a loved one, the separation form a loved one or even the loss of a job can cause the body to go into a state of overdrive. That’s when the intense fear and apprehension kick in and most people will experience a racing heart, sweating, headaches, nausea and more. The symptoms vary from person to person and the treatment varies equally as much.
