Home Security On a Piece of Paper

The natural inclination for someone like me is to avoid extra costs as if they were a grilled cheese and brownie sandwich. I scrimp on brand name groceries, clothing, and family entertainment. I went through s real crisis of consciousness recently when it came time to pay for home insurance. I thought I could do without for a brief period. In a phone call placed to my mother, she made me realize that as a child there had been a reality check to end all. This was when our home had caught fire and was uninhabitable. I was only four, so it felt like a fun adventure living in a hotel. My mother in all her wisdom advised me that had we not been insured, we would have been homeless. I have no problem writing that check now.
