Online School – Tailored to Your Child
When I was in the 8th grade, I was in a math class that didn’t really challenge me. In fact, it got to a point that I finished all of my assignments for the rest of the school year, and I still had about half of the year to go.
It was for this reason that I decided to start skipping my math class and taking a longer lunch. When I was caught, rather than figuring out why I skipped they just gave me after-school-detention (ASD), where I spent an hour every day for a week doing all of my math quizes for the rest of the year. The following week I did it again and did more math in ASD.
Finally in my 9th grade year they put me ahead one level in my math class. My point? Maybe if I was part of an online school or homeschool program, my skill level would’ve been assessed and I may have been place at the proper level and challenged accordingly.
Do you have a child that complains that his/her schoolwork in a certain subject is too easy? You may want to look into online school for them. It may just turn out to be something good.
